Alexander will serve as a student assistant coach for the Sharks. After playing two seasons at Hill College, he was an East Coast Conference (ECC) All-Conference honoree for LIU Post in 2018 and helped lead the team to a conference title and NCAA tournament appearance.
 
He started in 13 of 17 appearances and scored three goals and had one assist. In his first start at Roberts Wesleyan College he scored the match-winning goal and he also started all four postseason contests.
