Joshua Chang enters his first season as an Assistant Coach with the Long Island University men’s basketball program in 2026-27, following one season as the Sharks’ Video Coordinator.

Chang joined the LIU men’s basketball staff in 2025-26 and was part of a historic 2025-26 season at LIU, helping the Sharks post a 24-11 overall record and a 15-3 mark in Northeast Conference play. LIU captured both the NEC regular-season and tournament championships and earned an NCAA Tournament appearance as a 16th seed, marking the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in the Sharks era.

Prior to joining LIU, Chang spent two seasons at Boston College serving as a Graduate Assistant and Assistant Video Coordinator for the Eagles. In those roles, Chang worked closely with the coaching staff on opponent and self-scouting, player development, film organization, statistical analysis and game preparation.

Chang began his career at Boston College as a Student Manager during his senior year in 2022. He graduated from Boston College in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing before continuing with the Eagles as a Graduate Assistant and Assistant Video Coordinator. While serving as a Graduate Assistant, Chang earned his master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Boston College in 2025.
