BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Graduate student Jamal Fuller of the Long Island University men's basketball team was named the Influxer/NEC Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Fuller, a native of Toronto, averaged 21 points, four rebounds, and 4.5 assists across two games last week, as the Sharks defeated both Le Moyne College at home and Central Connecticut State University on the road. This is the second Player of the Week honor for Fuller, who earned the same award on Jan. 6.

Against the Dolphins on Thursday, Fuller tallied 19 points on 5-11 shooting, collecting four rebounds, assisting on three made baskets, and totaling one block and steal in LIU's 83-61 win over Le Moyne. The guard/forward scored LIU's first nine points of the second half against the Dolphins, helping surge LIU's eventual 22-point win.

In Saturday's road game against CCSU, Fuller tied his season-high in both points (23) and assists (6), while also collecting four rebounds. Fuller also recorded two steals and one block in LIU's 80-59 win over the Blue Devils.

With Saturday's 23-point game, Fuller has now finished nine games this season with 20-plus points; the second-most by a student-athlete in the NEC. Over the last four games, Fuller has averaged 20.5 points per game.

Joining Fuller in receiving a weekly award was junior Mason Porter-Brown, who was named an NEC Prime Performer for the second time this season. Porter-Brown averaged 22.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game last week, and scored 29 points off the bench in LIU's road win over CCSU on Saturday.

LIU returns to the Steinberg Wellness Center to face the University of New Haven on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m.
