BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Senior Karly Klaer and sophomore Miabella Musignac were named Prime Performers by the NEC on Tuesday, having helped guide the Sharks to two wins in three outings last week.
Klaer totaled 17 kills, a .500 attacking percentage, 111 assists, 5 service aces, 25 digs, and one total block across the three outings.
The senior setter from St. Joseph, Michigan tied her season-high marks in both kills (10 on Sept. 26 vs Chicago State) and assists (49 on Sept. 27 vs Chicago State) this weekend.
Musignac stayed active on the defensive side of the net this past week, totaling 37 digs across LIU's three matches. Against Chicago State on Sept. 27, Musignac recorded 18 digs to help the Sharks improve to 2-0 in NEC play with a win over the Cougars.
The San Juan, Puerto Rico native has recorded double-digit digs in 10 of LIU's 11 matches this season, and at least 15 digs in five of 11 matches.
LIU takes on the New Jersey Institute of Technology tonight at 6 p.m. inside the Steinberg Wellness Center in Brooklyn.
