BRIDGEWATER, N.J. —Senior defender Niklas Thanhofer has been named an NEC Prime Performer after playing a key role in LIU men's soccer's most recent victory.
 
Thanhofer scored the first goal in the Sharks' 2-1 win over UAlbany on Aug. 31, helping his squad jump out to an early first half lead. He later assisted Tal Levy on the second goal of the game as LIU added to its lead and secured the win.
 
Thanhofer and the Sharks will look to pick up another victory on Saturday, Sept. 6, hosting Manhattan at 5 p.m.
