BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Sam Keogan has been named an NEC Men's Soccer Prime Performer after helping the Sharks remain undefeated this past week.
The defender played a key role in ties against Lafayette (Sept. 9) and Marist (Sept. 13). LIU's 0-0 draw vs. Lafayette marked the team's third clean sheet of the season and second straight. Keogan also had a shot on goal in the contest.
With the senior anchoring the defense and playing a team-high 180 total minutes (a full 90 per contest), the Sharks allowed just one goal through two games and stand tall at 2-0-4 on the campaign.
LIU will return to the field Tuesday, Sept. 16, facing off against Quinnipiac at 4 p.m.
