BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Freshman forward
Tess Termars of the Long Island University field hockey team was named NEC Field Hockey Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday. The award is Termars' first career weekly honor from the NEC and the first for LIU's program this season.
This past week in games versus Yale University and Columbia University, Termars scored her first two career goals. She scored once versus Yale on Friday and once versus Columbia on Sunday, later adding an assist in a narrow 3-2 loss.
The Sharks return to action this Saturday, Sept. 13, at 1 p.m., versus Central Michigan University in a neutral site game in Hamilton, New York. The Sharks meet Colgate University, the weekend host, the next afternoon at 1 p.m.
