BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - The NEC announced its 2025-26 men's basketball schedule on Tuesday, with the Long Island University men's basketball team opening its conference slate on Jan. 2

The Sharks begin their NEC schedule with a home matchup against Central Connecticut State University on Jan. 2 before traveling to Chicago State University on Jan. 4. The Sharks will then host back-to-back home games against Mercyhurst University on Jan. 8 and Saint Francis University on Jan. 10.
Following a three-game road trip against Fairleigh Dickinson University (Jan. 17), Le Moyne College (Jan. 19), and Stonehill College (Jan. 23), the Sharks will return home for two matchups against Wagner College on Jan. 25 and Le Moyne on Jan. 29.
After traveling to CCSU on Jan. 31, LIU will host the University of New Haven on Feb. 5 and Stonehill on Feb. 7. The Sharks then begin a four-game road slate with matchups against Wagner (Feb. 12), New Haven (Feb.14), Saint Francis (Feb. 19), and Mercyhurst (Feb. 21) before closing the regular season with two home contests against Chicago State (Feb. 26) and FDU (Feb. 28).
The Sharks enter the upcoming season off a 2024-2025 campaign in which they posted a 17-16 overall record and placed second in the NEC standings with a 12-4 mark. LIU's roster features three returning starters, including First-Team All-NEC selection Malachi Davis, Second-Team All-NEC selection Jamal Fuller and NEC All-Rookie Team selection Shadrak Lasu.
