West Windsor, N.J. — After defeating Stonehill (4-0) and Wagner (4-1) to advance to the championship round of the NEC Tournament, the Sharks' season came to a close with a second-place finish.
Facing off against Binghamton in the title match, both
Philip Hilble (7-5, 6-4) and
Ales D'Anna (6-3, 6-0) won in singles for LIU. D'Anna also paired up with fellow Shark
Danila Ishchanka to secure a doubles victory, winning 6-2. The final score of the match was 4-2, in favor of Binghamton.
Both Hilble and D'Anna were named to the NEC Men's All-Tournament Team for their efforts in leading the Sharks.
