BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — The LIU men's hockey team extended its winning streak to five games and set a new program record with 18 wins after defeating Stonehill 3-1 on Saturday night.
Stonehill took a 1-0 lead just past the midway point of the second period—but it didn't last long.
Josh Zary evened the score just 17 seconds later. Isaiah Fox netted the game-winning goal in the opening eight minutes of the final frame.
Connor Gregga sealed the deal with LIU's third goal in the Sharks' sixth road win of the season.
Noah Rupprecht stopped 21 shots and earned his 11th win of the season.
LIU and Stonehill will meet again Saturday at 5 p.m.
