BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Kadidia Toure of the Long Island University women's basketball team was named an NEC Prime Performer on Monday, after helping guide the Sharks to their first 3-1 start since the 2011-12 season.
Toure led all scorers in both last Tuesday's 89-27 win over Kean with 20 points, and Saturday's 70-56 road win at Delaware State with 21 points. The senior forward also averaged 9.5 rebounds, and 2 assists last week.
The Silver Spring, Maryland native shot 51.8% from the field last week, while recording three blocks and three steals. She has now scored 20 points in all three games she has played this season.
This is the second Prime Performer honor for Toure this season, who received the same award last week along with being named the NEC co-Player of the Week.
