BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Kadidia Toure of the Long Island University women's basketball team was named a co-NEC Player of the Week on Monday, while sophomore Laura Molnarova received NEC Prime Performer honors.
Toure scored 26 points in LIU's season-opening 75-60 win at Northeastern University on Nov. 3, marking a new career-high for the Upper Marlboro, Maryland native. She also finished the game with her second career double-double, collecting 10 rebounds in the win.
Against the Huskies, Toure finished the game shooting 10-14 on field goals and had two blocks
Molnarova finished last week with 26 points on 10-16 shooting – including a mark of 6-10 on three-point field goals – 9 rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 2 games.
The Bratislava, Slovakia native connected on 2 late three-pointers to stave off an attempted Northeastern comeback on Nov. 3, and went 4-7 on three-pointers at the University of South Florida on Nov. 7, finishing the game with a career-high 14 points.
LIU returns to the court on Tuesday, Nov. 11, against Kean University.
