EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — The LIU women's hockey team resumes play for the second half of its season and kicks off the New Year with games against Stonehill on Friday (3 p.m.) and Saturday (2 p.m.) at the Northwell Health Ice Center.

The Sharks are scheduled to play seven of their final 14 regular-season games in January before entering the NEWHA playoffs, which run from Feb. 28 to March 8.

Reigning NEWHA Offensive and Defensive Players of the Month, Grace Babington and Bri Eid, will lead the Sharks as they return to action for the first time since Dec. 14.

We had some more ups and downs the first half of the season than we expected, but this team has been resilient in growing and working to get better every day," said head coach Kelly Nash. We have high expectations going into this second half stretch and we're looking forward to the challenge ahead."
