East Meadow, N.Y. — LIU and Stonehill played a close one on Friday afternoon, with the Sharks losing 2-0.
 
The two teams were competitive and the game remained tied for most of the way, with Ashley Morrow and Ryane Kearns taking four shots each throughout as LIU looked for that first goal. Stonehill scored two, both with less than four minutes to go in the third period, to take the lead and pull away.
 
Grace Babington, Ella Knewtson, and Bri Eid all had two blocked shots each for the Sharks despite the loss.
 
LIU and Stonehill will face off again Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
