Jack Power's Late-Game Heroics Lifts Sharks Past FDU

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Jack Power's go-ahead two-run home run in the eighth inning was the difference in LIU's 3-2 come-from-behind win against FDU on Saturday afternoon.

Carlton Harper started the scoring for LIU in the seventh inning. The senior smashed a solo shot to right field, cutting FDU's lead to 2-1.

And that's when Jack Power stepped up. The junior crushed a two-run home run to right field, giving LIU a 3-2 lead.

Dominic Pieto was sharp on the mound for the Sharks. Pieto pitched 6.1 innings and struck out five batters.

LIU will go for the three-game sweep Sunday at 1 p.m.
