Mark Regan produced a hat trick as well as two assists and the Sharks never trailed en route to a 13-6 win against UMass Lowell on a rainy Saturday at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
Sean Boll and freshman
Aidan Zuhoski added two goals apiece, while
Nicholas Davide produced five ground balls and
Shaun Hill won 12 of 19 faceoffs.
LIU raced to a 4-0 lead and held UMass Lowell scoreless for the game's opening 19 minutes.
Jasper Simon made 10 saves to improve to 3-0 as a collegiate goalie.
The Sharks (3-1) begin MAAC play next Saturday when they face VMI at noon in Lexington, Va.
