New Britain, Conn. — The LIU baseball team hit four home runs in its 11-7 win against Central Connecticut State on Saturday afternoon.
Connor Price's home run to right-center in the sixth inning tied the game at one.
The Sharks would add two more runs in the inning, which included an RBI single by
Seth Surrett. Surrett finished the game with two RBIs.
LIU continued its dominance in the eighth inning – the Sharks hit back-to-back-to-back home runs.
JC Navarro hit a two-run shot to left field,
Jake Mastillo went yard to center, and
Connor Price hit his second home run of the game, which landed over the fence in left.
The Sharks opened up to a 10-3 lead in the eighth inning after
Noah Sorensen drove in a pair of runs after a single.
Dominic Pieto struck out eight batters in seven innings.
Jack VanDoran struck out a pair of batters in one inning of relief.
RJ Latkowski and
PJ Moritz followed that up with a solid ninth inning performance in the Sharks' 11-7 win.
