EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — Mikayla Lantto's overtime goal lifted LIU to a 3-2 win over Saint Michael's on Senior Day in the Sharks' regular season finale.
Mary Rachel Lenaeus tied the score at 1 in the third period and
Ashley Morrow gave LIU a 2-1 lead.
But the Purple Knights responded with the equalizer with less than eight minutes remaining in regulation, before Lantto found back of the net in the extra frame.

The Sharks completed their regular season with a program-record 26 wins and head into the NEWHA playoffs riding a 12-game win streak.
LIU, the regular-season champion, hosts a best-of-three opening-round NEWHA series against No. 8 seed Saint Michael's.
Game 1 is Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Northwell Health Ice Center in East Meadow.
