North Andover, M.A. — LIU used some second period magic to secure a win over Merrimack on Friday afternoon.
A trio of Sharks each scored a goal to help the team defeat the opponent.
Micaela Skibski started things off by scoring in the first period, and
Eva Valentini and
Kiki Bruning each scored in the second to put together a 3-0 lead.
The team never looked back, completing the shutout.
Valentini and Bruning are tied for the team lead in goals this season, with three apiece.
LIU will return to the field Sunday, Oct 6 when it plays UMass Lowell on the road at 1 p.m.
