BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The Sharks took on Wagner on Thursday afternoon, while also honoring a handful of its special athletes on Senior Day.
Such players included:
- Lauren Mathews, a NEC All-Academic recipient who helped the team record its highest conference points tally in the Sharks era.
- Gina Proviano, a multi-year NEC All-Academic recipient, who served as senior captain and tallied 9 goals and 6 assists in her career, recording her highest ever points tally this season, ranking in the top-10 in the NEC for goals and points.
- Grace Hennig, a Fall 2023 NEC Academic Honor Roll recipient whose 6 goals this season help her rank third in the NEC in goals scored and second in points.
- Yanelia Fernández, a a three-time NEC Commissioner's and Academic Honor Roll recipient who recorded her first career goal this fall in a win over Delaware State.
- Matiana Valdez, a multi-year NEC All-Academic Honor Roll recipient who was also a CSC Academic All-District selection in fall 2023.
- Aliya Couillard, a senior captain and multi-year NEC Academic Honor Roll recipient, who was also recognized as a CSC Academic All-District selection in fall 2023.
Playing against Wagner on Thursday, Hennig contributed two shots on goal and
Keely Thomas had 11 saves as goalkeeper.
