PRINCETON, N.J. — The LIU Men's Water Polo Team wrapped up the Princeton Invitational on Sunday morning.
The Sharks once again continued their stretch of playing nationally ranked competition as they took on No. 19 Santa Clara. LIU tied the game early, but Santa Clara gained momentum and won the match 17-6.
"Playing another nationally ranked team is a testament to our progress throughout this part of the season," head coach
Gabby Juarez said. "Based off our last game, we carried momentum into the first quarter, but couldn't put a complete game together."

Sophomore
Logan Morgan scored his first goal of the season and added on a second in the fourth quarter while
Josep Jodra Muñoz scored two, which brings his season tally to 13.
Ethan Zirh put together another nice performance, assisting on two scores and making 11 saves which brings his season total to 91.
"I think that defensively we're starting to click a little bit more," Juarez said, "Which is ultimately our goal of just getting better every game and gaining experience against ranked opponents."
LIU will return to the pool on Sunday when they take on Air Force and Mercyhurst in the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa.
