EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — Stella Scott is taking her hockey career to the next level.
Scott, an LIU women's hockey forward from Aspen, Colo., signed a contract with CHH Txuri Urdin IHT in the Basque region in northeastern Spain.
Scott reached the 100 career games played plateau with LIU hockey during the final weekend of the regular season en route to the NEWHA championship and NCAA Tournament berth.
She tallied four goals and six assists in 34 games during the 2022-23 season with the Sharks and was a multi-time NEWHA All-Academic Team selection.
"I'm excited to continue my hockey career with this opportunity to play in Spain, where I also get to learn and explore a new side of the world," Scott said. "I am so lucky I get to keep playing hockey and I'm thankful for the Sharks for helping me be able to continue playing post-graduation."
