STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The LIU baseball team hunted for its first win of the season against Long Island rival Stony Brook on Wednesday evening.
The Sharks opened up to 2-0 lead after Jake Mastillo's two-run double down the right field line in the third inning.
JC Navarro extended the Sharks' lead with an RBIÂ single to left field to put LIU up 3-0.
The Seawolves battled back at Joe Nathan Field and topped the Sharks 15-5.
Jarod Wade went 3-for-5, including a two-run home run in the ninth inning.
The Shark start a three game series against Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday.
