BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — LIU men's soccer coach
Michael Mordocco's staff will have a new look in 2023.
Mordocco will be joined by assistant coaches Tyler Botte,
Jesse Corke, Will Hall and Nick Bigilin.
Botte arrives from Molloy University, where he compiled an 17-11-13 record, 2021 East Coast Conference postseason title and an NCAA Tournament appearance in two seasons as the head coach. The 2022 team produced the first undefeated ECC regular-season championship in program history. He previously spent a combined six seasons as an associate head coach and assistant coach with the Division II program.
Botte played collegiately at Hofstra, tallying 12 goals and six assists in 67 matches. He earned second-team All-America honors in 2012, served as captain and also earned All-Colonial Athletic Association honors. He also played in USL League Two with the Long Island Rough Riders.
Corke served as goalkeepers coach with the Sharks last season. He played goalkeeper professionally with the New York Cosmos from 2019 through '21 and also with Westfalia Wickede in Germany.
Corke previously coached at Molloy, where he had a standout playing career that included a 1.72 GAA and .745 save percentage spanning five seasons. He was the 2014 East Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Year.
Hall played in 82 matches with Virginia from 2003 through '07, tallying four goals and 11 assists.
Bigilin played a combined 40 collegiate games between Kentucky, Hofstra and Molloy. He was a team captain at each of the latter two stops, then served on the Molloy coaching staff from 2020 through '22.
