EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — The LIU men's hockey team rallied from a 4-1 deficit against Alaska Anchorage on Tuesday afternoon. But it was not enough to knock off the Seawolves in the Sharks' regular season finale inside the Northwell Ice Center.
The Sharks, which once trailed 4-1, stormed back in the second period after Cade Mason Zachary Nazzarett scored a pair of second period goals for LIU.
The Seawolves' empty net goal was the lone tally in the third period, which dropped LIU to a 10-10 record on home ice in the Sharks' 5-3 loss.
LIU wraps up its season March 10-11 against Arizona State.
