BETHPAGE, N.Y. — The LIU women's tennis team swept NJIT on Friday.

The drama at Sportime Bethpage included the Sharks grabbing the doubles point when Kate Jorjoliana and Saki Oyama won a 7-2 tiebreaker.

Then, Bianca Compuesto at fourth singles (10-8) and Elinor Storkaas at fifth singles (10-6) each won tiebreakers after splitting the opening two sets.

Victoria Erechtchenko closed out the sweep with a full three-set win at first singles, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.

The Sharks (5-3) return to action March 6 at Florida Atlantic.
