EMMITSBURG, MD.— The LIU men's basketball wrapped up its long non-conference road trip on Saturday afternoon when it traveled to old NEC foe Mount St. Mary's.
The Sharks started the game off well, but multiple made shots made by the Mountaineers would put it too far out of reach as LIU fell 87-59.
Tai Strickland and
Tana Kopa were tied with a team-high 12 points. This was the third game in a row where Kopa scored double-digits.
Nikola Djapa led the team with eight rebounds while Tai and
Terell Strickland were tied for a team-high three assists.
Jason Steele recorded a career-high 11 points and eight rebounds.
The Sharks return to the court on Thursday when they take on UAlbany at the Barclays Center at 7 p.m.
