NORTH EASTON, Mass. — The LIU women's hockey team erupted for four late goals to run its winning streak to a program-record 10 games.
Grace Babington's first collegiate goal proved the game-winner as LIU overcame a one-goal deficit with four scores in the final 9 minutes, 22 seconds to sweep Stonehill with a 4-1 victory on Saturday afternoon.
Babington, a freshman winger, broke a 1-all tie with 3:27 remaining in regulation.
Mikaya Lantto then produced an empty-netter and Jeannie Waller also scored in the final minute to cap the victory.
Lantto had scored the equalizer midway through the third period.
The Sharks improved to 10-0 in NEWHA play.
They take the Thanksgiving weekend off, then resume play Dec. 1 at Post.
