BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Kiki Bruning scored early in the fourth quarter to pull the LIU field hockey team even against Wagner on Friday afternoon.
However, the Sharks suffered their second straight 2-1 double-overtime loss, this time to the Seahawks at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
Sara Nelson scored in the second overtime for Wagner to win the match.
LIU had fallen to 2-1 in double-overtime to Merrimack on Sunday.
The Sharks now stand at 2-3 in the NEC with two road matches remaining as they try to climb back into one of the conference tournament's four postseason spots.
LIU faces Fairfield (5-0 NEC) on Sunday in Connecticut, then closes the regular season at Rider next Friday.
