BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Basketball royalty resided in the Steinberg Wellness Center on Wednesday.
 
NBA Hall-of-Famer and 15-time All-Star Kevin Garnett interviewed LIU men's basketball head coach Rod Strickland on Wednesday afternoon.

The interview was part of Garnett's show, KG Certified, airing on YouTube, a part of SHOWTIME Basketball.
 
"It's a pleasure to sit down with Kevin and get a chance to chat with him," Strickland said. "I'm glad he was able to stop by and see what we have at LIU."
 
Strickland and Garnett played with the Minnesota Timberwolves during the 2002-03 season, when the team won 51 games and earned the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference.
 
"As soon as I got a call saying you wanted to come, I immediately agreed," Strickland said to Garnett on set. "I couldn't pass this up."
 
Garnett's show has included appearances from notable celebrities.
 
The guest list includes actor Adam Sandler, NBA veterans Matt Barnes, J.R. Smith and Kendrick Perkins.
