STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The LIU men's basketball team met Wagner for a rematch on the road Saturday afternoon, falling to the Seahawks, 79-64. Senior Eral Penn led LIU with 19 points in the loss.

• LIU led Wagner early in the game, 14-6 at the 12-minute media, but the host Seahawls closed the gap and took the lead just six minutes later.
• The Sharks were still close at the halftime break, trailing Wagner, 35-32.
• The Seahawks grabbed the momentum in the second half, starting the stanza on an 11-0 run in the first two and a half minutes. That run widened the lead to 46-32, and the Sharks would never recover.
• Wagner went on to lead by as many as 18 points in the second half, taking the win, 79-64.
• LIU moves to 6-6 in Northeast Conference action with the loss, while Wagner moves to 10-0.
• Penn led the Sharks with 19 points, going 7-of-14 from the field. He also had six rebounds.
• Senior Ty Flowers had 14 points, while Kyndall Davis had 10 poinnts.
