BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Tedi Kushi's work in the trenches is getting national attention.
Kushi, a redshirt sophomore from Staten Island, has been named the Phil Steele NEC Offensive Lineman of the Year as well as Phil Steele first-team All-NEC.
The Sharks placed a whopping 11 student-athletes on the Phil Steele All-NEC teams.
Owen Glascoe,
Eric O'Neill,
Victor Nelson Jr. and
Davon Wells joined Kushi on the first team.
Luca Stanzani,
Michael Coney,
Will Lynch and
Matt Aloni earned second-team honors.
And
Michael Love and
Larry Elder were named to the third team.
Actually, Wells earned first-, second- and third-team recognition — for all-purpose, kickoff returns and punt returns, respectively.
Kushi, a 6-foot-7, 305-pound offensive tackle, previously had been named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators.
