BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The honors keep pouring in for LIU men's soccer standout Emil Jaaskelainen.

Jaaskelainen was named first-team All-Northeast Region from United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday, while Robert Winkler earned second-team all-region and André Puente earned third-team all-region.

Jaaskelainen, a junior striker from Bolton, England, previously had been recognized as NEC Player of the Year. He completed the season with 12 goals, which ranked first in the conference and seventh in the NCAA.

Winkler, a sophomore defender from Jena, Thuringia, Germany, previously earned second-team All-NEC honors. A Sharks captain, he produced a team-leading six assists along with two goals.

Puente, a junior defender from Chihuahua, Mexico, was a first-team All-NEC selection alongside Jaaskelainen. He tallied four goals on the season.
