Minnesota State completed a two-game series sweep with a 5-1 victory on Saturday afternoon at Northwell Health Ice Center.

Carrigan Umpherville picked up a five-minute major for contact to the head. And on the ensuing power play, Minnesota State's Alexis Paddington restored a three-goal lead with a goal at 16:02 of the second period.

LIU had entered the weekend with a 10-game unbeaten streak (9-0-1). The Sharks nonetheless sit atop the NEWHA standings.
