BOSTON — The LIU women's ice hockey team has been challenging itself against the nation's elite, playing a pair of 2022 Frozen Four participants the opening two weeks of the regular season.
And after three games of tight competition against Minnesota Duluth and then Northeastern, the Sharks suffered a hiccup Saturday.
Northeastern defeated LIU, 10-1, at Matthews Arena.
Bri Eid scored in the final seconds to avoid the shutout.
LIU returns to action Friday at 2 p.m. against Sacred Heart at Sports Center of Connecticut.
