BROOKLYN, N.Y. – LIU volleyball senior Anastasia Scott was named the Molten/Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon. She is the first Shark to earn a weekly honor this season.
 
Scott was tabbed to the Temple Invitational All-Tournament team after averaging 6.1 digs per set over three matches. She amassed 17 digs vs. Maryland on Friday, then came back with an NEC season-high 26 digs in the Sharks' four-set win over Iona the following morning. Scott wrapped the weekend with 18 digs vs. Temple. The 2020-21 NEC Defensive Player of the Year and Jacksonville, FL product ranks second in the NEC with 4.81 digs per set this fall.
 
Up next, the Sharks head south to take part in the Jacksonville Invitational, Friday, September 10 and Saturday, September 11.
