Box Score NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The LIU men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to five games Sunday afternoon, and opened Northeast Conference play with a 1-0 win over Central Connecticut State on the road.
 
The game was evenly matched, until the 79th minute when sophomore Andre Puente scored off a pass from Assane Ben Fall to give LIU the 1-0 advantage. Keeper Demetri Skoumbakis made three saves in net to earn the shutout win for the Sharks.
