With the win, the Pioneers clinched the Northeast Conference championship outright. LIU finishes the season 2-8 overall, and 2-5 in the NEC. SHARK BITES Sacred Heart scored first, but LIU answered quickly, as senior Jonathan DeBique had a 54-yard touchdown run. Senior Paul Inzerillo made the PAT, and the game was tied 7-7. The visitors would score three times in the second period, taking a 24-7 lead into the halftime break. Two more SHU touchdowns in the third put LIU behind, 38-7 heading into the fourth. Quarterback Camden Orth had a rushing touchdown to give LIU the final score of the game. Orth ran for five yards to add to LIU's total, and Inzerillo's kick made it 38-14. Orth finished 13-for-27 with one interception and 183 passing yards. DeBique led the rushing game with 125 yards on 15 attempts, including the 54-yard score. Tight end Owen Glascoe led the receivers with 103 yards on seven catches. Defensively, Qualil Lumpkins and Larry Elder led the charge, with eight and seven total tackles respectively. Jaden Dawkins had a sack for the Sharks. Prior to the game, the Sharks honored their seniors: Joe Amalfitano, Jerome Brooks III, Ben Waibogha, Steven Chambers, Paul Inzerillo, Dylan Cook, Kevin Gutierrez, Connor Klementowicz, Greg Amato and Anthony Lavio.
