Scouting Iona
The Gaels are 3-2-0 on the season and are coming off a 2-1 triumph over Sacred Heart University on Wednesday, September 18 at Park Avenue Field.
Lenworth Lopez leads Iona with 10 points on four goals and two assists while Mauro Bravo has seven points with two goals and three assists. Esad Mackic has five points with two goals and one assist, Eimantas Lotuzys has five points with one goal and Najim Romero has four points with one goal and two assists.
Giuliano Santucci has appeared in and started five matches for Iona. He has tallied 26 saves, a 1.40 goals against average and a 0.788 save percentage.
Scouting Columbia
The Lions currently have an 0-2-2 record on the season and are coming off a 5-1 loss to No. 19 St. John's University on Monday, September 16 at the Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium. Prior to its matchup with the Sharks, Columbia will travel to Storrs, Connecticut, to take on the University of Connecticut tonight at 7 p.m.
The Lions are led by Sebastian Gunbeyi, who has four points and two goals. John Denis is second in points with three as he has one goal and one assist while Danny Laranetto has two points and one goal. Beto Carillo, Blake Willis, Andrew Stevens and Uri Zeitz each have one point and one assist.
Michael Collodi has started and appeared in three matches at goalkeeper for Columbia, and has accumulated 13 saves along with a .643 save percentage and a 2.11 goals against average. Eric Chang has started one match and appeared in two, totaling five saves.
