Long Island University

The North Shore Equestrian Center is located on the LIU campus, making LIU the only school on Long Island with an on-campus riding facility. The center has been in operation for nearly 50 years and allows for the Sharks to host several Intercollegiate Horse Show Association shows on campus, giving exposure to the program and helping to spread interest and knowledge of the sport. 

With four outdoor rings with grass and dirt paddocks, along with an indoor barn, LIU is able to practice and compete year-round in any condition. The barn also houses the Sharks' horses which are cared for by both our student-athletes and students in the equine studies programs on campus. The full service center is available to the public for boarding and riding lessons.
