SMITHFIELD, R.I. – LIU baseball took on Bryant in the third and final game of the weekend series, falling to the Bulldogs, 6-3. With the loss, the Sharks move to 13-10 on the year and 1-2 in Northeast Conference play.

The Bulldogs would go on to score two runs in the second on an RBI single, and they would also score a run in the third to take a 4-0 lead after three innings.
In the top of the fifth, the Sharks got two on base when

Giovanni Ciaccio drew a walk. The inning ended on a fielder's choice, leaving the two runners stranded. Bryant added another run in the fifth on a sacrifice fly. LIU trailed, 5-0, heading into the sixth.
To begin the seventh,
Carlton Harper pinch hit and singled to center field. Ciaccio would single to left center to put two more runners on base.
EJ Exposito batted in LIU's first run through the left side, scoring Harper. Ciaccio would advance to third on a throwing error.
Luke Turner took advantage by singling to center to score both Exposito and Ciaccio to bring the deficit to two runs at 5-3.
That was as close the Sharks would get, as the Bulldogs scored the game's final run in the bottom of the eighth. Frasier earned the win for Bryant, and Buehler was credited the loss, his first of the year.
