Colorado Springs, Colo. - The six-time defending Northeast Conference champion Long Island University volleyball team will lift the lid on the 2010 season on Friday, Aug. 27 at the Falcon Invitational. The Blackbirds will begin their quest for a seventh consecutive conference crown by taking on host Air Force at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. Long Island will continue play at the Falcon Invitational with a pair of matches on Saturday, Aug. 28. The Blackbirds will square off with Boise State at 2:00 p.m. Eastern (live stats). Long Island will wrap up tournament play at 7:00 p.m. Eastern with a tilt with South Dakota State (live stats).
