Brooklyn, N.Y. - Long Island University head softball coach Roy Kortmann has announced the team's 2009 fall exhibition slate. The Blackbirds will face regional rivals St. John's and Hofstra as well as battle UConn and Providence in preparation for the 2010 campaign.
Starting with a contest against St. John's on LIU Field Thursday at 7:00 p.m., Long Island will then travel to Storrs, Conn., to battle UConn and Providence on Sept. 26-27. The Blackbirds conclude the fall schedule with Saturday tilts with Hofstra Oct. 3 and Oct. 10.
