Somerset, N.J. - The Northeast Conference and Pack Network have announced the launch of NortheastConference.TV, the league's new web-based media platform.

NortheastConference.TV will debut on Friday with the webcasts of the NEC women's soccer (live) and field hockey championships (same day tape delay).

The free service will serve as the league's webcast hub, with eight conference championships to be streamed via PackNetwork in 2009-10.  In addition to men's and women's soccer, field hockey and women's volleyball this fall, championships to be streamed this year include women's basketball, women's lacrosse, softball and baseball.

NortheastConference.TV will also offer an eight-game regular season women's basketball package beginning this January, along with on-demand archived content and highlight packages, all free to the viewing public.

"Along with our extensive television package, the NEC remains committed to developing its new media broadcast efforts," said Ron Ratner, NEC Interim Commissioner. "Accessibility was the key concept behind the launch of NortheastConference.tv.  With free access to events, the site meets our goal of connecting the league's fanbase with a wide variety of conference sports."

"We are thrilled to further our partnership with the Northeast Conference by launching NortheastConference.TV," said K.J. Cardinal, co-Founder of Pack Network. "Being able to offer up free live and on-demand video streaming for conference championships and regular season events is a great service to all fans of the NEC and its members institutions."

Dating back to the 2007-08 season, the NEC and Pack Network have partnered to offer an industry-leading streaming video solution. Live event productions include multiple cameras, an on-screen scoreboard, instant replays and graphics that replicate those found in broadcast television productions.
