Mariah Hatfield placed 28th at the FDU Fright Night Invitational in Elmwood Park, N.J. over the weekend. The Blackbirds finished the three-day event in 11th place and went 0-12 in team matches.
Hatfield led the Blackbirds with a scoring average of 159.8 in her six individual matches. Classmate
Essanna Gray came in 40th overall with an average of 141.67 over the six traditional matches.

Rondha Remy took 42nd place and juniors
Analda Clement and
Jhoanna Santaromana placed 60th and 61st overall.
The Blackbirds best performance came in a 611-715 loss to Wisconsin-Whitewater. LIU resumes play in Elmwood Park Saturday and continues on Sunday with the final round of the tournament.
