The largest building project in the Campus’ 78-year history- the $45 million, 112,000 square foot Wellness, Recreation and Athletic Center- debuted in January 2006.
The amazing structure features an eight-lane swimming pool, a therapy pool, two weight rooms, an aerobic room and a 17,000 square-foot basketball arena, where the school’s NCAA Division I teams will compete. In addition, housed on the rooftop are tennis court and a running track.
Additionally, the center has the resources and programs to promote the health of community residents. Cardiac rehabilitation, orthopedic therapy and asthma education services are planned, as well as the installation of specialized equipment, such as a separate therapy pool equipped with a hydraulic floor.
The new facility also provides a venue for civic events.
